Ukraine's emergency services are reporting casualties from a Russian missile attack that hit residence houses in the Zytomyr region, about 140km northwest of Kyiv, reports The Guardian.
About 15 private houses were destroyed in the attack on the town of Ovuch, Ukraine's state emergency service said at an official update on the telegram this morning.
According to the agency, in Korosten, a town south of Ovuch, one person was killed and two were injured in a night-long missile attack.
Ten private houses are said to have been destroyed and a building burned. Five children were rescued from the basement.
