Russian forces surround the city of Kherson

Russian forces this Tuesday have surrounded the Kherson regional centre in southern Ukraine.

The BBC reports that Russian troops had launched a ground attack on the city, located near Moscow-controlled Crime.

The Russian army is setting roadblocks at the Kherson entrances, but the city has been and will remain Ukrainian”, Mayor Igor Kolykhayev said.
