Russia blocks pages of several foreign media

Several pages of Radio Free Europe (REL) and Russian media pages, BBC and Deutsche Welle, have been blocked in Russia, according to the watchdog group GlobalCheck. This step has been taken in the early hours of 4 March and comes after several threats to Radio Free Europe and other media for covering the war in Ukraine.
This blockade enables the Russians to access the Russian Radio Service Free Europe.
REL regional services, Sever.reali, Sibir.realii and Kavkaz.reali are also blocked in Russia.
The page of Current Time, Russian-language television é project of Radio Free Europe and Voice of America has been blocked by Russian authorities from February 28th, although the service has found opportunities to avoid blockade.
Latvia-based media reporter Meduza, who broadcasts into English and Russian, has said that “everything indicates that our site is blocked in Russia”.

The Russian REL Service offices have received six reports from Russia's media regulator Roskomnadzor on March 2nd, threatening to block the pages.
The regulator has said that the materials published “were false intentions for the alleged Russian attacks on Ukraine's territory” so that “created panic among people”.
