Today seven locations were raided in the case “Brezovica”. The founding prosecutor at Ferizaj has indicated that control warrants have been issued in the municipality of parallel structures in Shtrpce, due to suspicion of criminal acts of abuse of official office, takeover and bribery.
Under the order of the Constitutional Prosecutor at Ferizaj and in co-operation with the Kosovo Police . . The Directorate for Crime in Pristina is continuing the action ãoBrezovica eventually, the control warrant at the municipality of parallel structures in Shtrpca, due to suspicion of criminal acts of abuse of official office, taking and bribery. In terms of this action, which is a continuation of the previous shares, the Constitutional Prosecutor in Ferizaj will be kept informed over time of all other developments”, the prosecutor's communiqué said.
While 12 locations were raided in the 3 March action and seven people were arrested, of them former Environmental Ministry officials, Space Planning and Infrastructure Planning, and four construction companies' properties.
They are suspected of misusing official duty, taking, bribery and exercising influence.
The raids have occurred in Ferizaj, Pristina, Skenderaj and Lipjan.
“By order of the Constitutional Prosecutor at Ferizaj and in co-operation with the Kosovo Police is continuing action “Brezovica 3” where 12 different locations are being raided in four different cities -- Ferizaj, Pristina, Skenderaj and Lipjan, respectively. So far, seven (7) persons have been arrested, three former officials from the Ministry of Environment, Space Planning and Infrastructure, and four owners of construction companies suspected of misusing official office, accepting, bribery, and exercise of influence. The Constitutional Prosecutor in Ferizaj will keep you informed in time of all other developments about this” action, the communique said.
The first event in the case of “Brezovica” had occurred in December of last year, and where dozens of people were arrested, including the former head of the Shtrepca municipality, Bratislav Nikollic.
The former head of Shrpca allegedly benefited up to a million euros for illegally issued permits for building facilities in Brezovica.
