They're demanding a dignified salary.
Kosovo Police Union Chairman Imer Zeqiri said they do not accept rank with the same cofficiency as other institutions.
Our request is originally a dignified salary, a dignified treatment for the Kosovo police. We have declared that this law is unacceptable to the police because it has no specific value of the cofficiency until it's of no value to the cofficient then we don't know how much we're accepting, no matter what the number of the coffient is. Then there has been unacceptable rankings of cofficients with other Kosovo police institutions”, he told Front Online.
But if their demands are not taken into account, they will once again reject the new wage law by sending it to the Constitutional Court.
And if we don't list where we deserve it, we've already told you in the discussion that the way it is, that's unacceptable to the police and that's the beginning. For other forms we will see how government bodies will react to”, he told Front Online.
Police seek health insurance and retirement at age 55
In addition to the Law of Salaries, the challenge for Kosovo police continues to be the Health Insurance and Pension Law.
Kosovo's “polica is facing some difficulties, it's not just one, we don't have a salary law, we don't have health insurance hasn't yet been introduced in the retirement law at 55, it doesn't pay off and many other problems”, Zeqi said.
The price hikes have made it difficult for the lives of Kosovo's citizens, and for that the Police Union has demanded that until the payment law is passed, police will have an additional 200 euros in salaries.
“Po requirements that we have demanded an additional 200 euros for each member of the police, whether police official or the civilian staff is very reasonable, counting in Kosovo the price raising that has occurred in the last few months and until the passage of this more genuine law by Kosovo police in terms of social welfare is at very low level by counting prices and wages is the same”, the chairman of the Kosovo police union said.
Police chief union for the arrest of 48 policemen: Not satisfied with IPK's actions
Days ago the Kosovo Police Inspectorate has sponsored 48 members of Kosovo police under suspicion of misuse of official office.
And this IPK action didn't like the Police Union at all.
The chairman of this union, Imer Zeqiri, said they are not satisfied with the IPK's actions and that according to the law information on police arrest before they are arrested should not have appeared in the media.
“We as unions have a caution that we should be more careful during the suspensions, whether from the IPK or the IPK, but I want to connect with the recent arrest of 48 police officials, we unions are not satisfied with the actions that took place, the only reason is that before the arrest of the police occurs to me, 48 policemen are going to be arrested, which didn't happen even according to legal procedures, and why this happened best know IPK-1F> he said.
Zeqiri said police officials should not be arrested, as they respond to justice organ invitations.
“I've said and said again the police official doesn't need to be arrested and made public because if a preliminary investigation is made and proves that a police official has committed disciplinary or a panella act, if proven by evidence whenever the police call is, in some form it is unacceptable why it is taking place when the police official in any area of the investigation and justice response”, he said.
