The 45 Russians are suspected of being spies or co-workers of spies, Stanislae Zaryn, a spokesman for Polish special services, reports the BBC, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
One of them was identified during an investigation into a Polish citizen who worked in the Warsaw Civil Data Office archive for suspected spying, Zaryn said.
Polaku was arrested last week and has been assigned detention measures for three months, broadcast Clankosova.tv.
Russia's ambassador to Poland, Sergey Andreyev, denied the accusations after being called to the Polish foreign ministry on Wednesday.
Zaryn wrote on Twitter that the Russian ambassador repeated “preposterous lies”.
