Pawning view: How the Ukrainian city of Marioupol was destroyed

The port city is without food, without lights and citizens remain trapped inside, with no chance of leaving.

Continued efforts to evacuate civilians have failed. More than 2,500 residents have been killed so far in Marioupol, since the launch of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24 February.

And the photos below, which also show the extent of this city's destruction, which despite its being surrounded by invaders, continues to resist. They were fired on different days by citizens.

City officials say the need for food, water, medicine and electricity is huge.
