Northern Macedonia has started implementing sanctions on Russia on March 1st, including closing airspace for all flights from Russia, Foreign Affairs Minister Bujar Osmani has announced.
Another decision is that of sending military and humanitarian aid.
The government has also called on private companies to engage in relief supplies, while cable operators have recommended that they ban the transmission of all Russian media into their programmes as a move to deal with Russian dezinforms and propaganda regarding aggression in Ukraine.
Northern Macedonia has invited its citizens to leave Ukraine, where some 50 people are believed to remain.
A similar call has been made for citizens living in Russia.
