North Korea has tested an first-ever interccctine missile since 2017, according to South Korea.
The rocket, which has fallen in southern Japan, flew for more than an hour and reached altitudes of 6,000 miles [600 km].
Japanese officials have said that this missile is likely to reach a distance of up to 1,000 miles [1,100 km], meaning it has the capacity to affect the United States as well.
North Korea has recently conducted several expert missile tests. In 2017, Pyongyangi established the mortorium in testing long-distance ballistic missiles, following talks with then-US President Donald Trump.
