Migrant smuggling in Vermica and Merdare

The detainees are suspected of smuggling with migrants.

Police reports:

PKK Vmica: Two Kosovo male suspects have been arrested since two foreign citizens and several other suspects have fled to the forest in their cars. By the prosecutor's decision, the two suspects are sent to maintenance.

PKK Merdare: Foreign license plates with Kosovo's male suspect leader has reportedly been banned for regular procedures.

A Kosovo male suspect and male victims of foreign nationals have also been in the car, where during the search for documentation the victim did not possess visa or residence permit for the Republic of Kosovo, so police officials have ordered the victim's return, but the car leader, the suspect, has refused orders and by car, escaped from the border point of entering the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.

In the case, the state prosecutor has been consulted, suspects have been put in police search. In connection with the case in 26.03.22, following the collection of evidence, two Kosovo male suspects have been arrested and anti-victual proceedings are followed, while for foreign national, the entity for migration and foreign residents is handling the case. In consultation with the prosecutor following the completion of the proceedings, the suspects have been released.
