In this regard Mehej has said that the threatening declaration and attempted blackmailing of the Volin, following Kosovo's call for NATO membership, is a very serious alarm for NATO member states and all democratic countries that today are listed on the right side of history.
Our legitimate and very reasonable request for membership with accelerated process in NATO made once again clear, Serbia's true position and claims on Kosovo. Everything is clear. Absolute analogy between Putin's absurd claims for allegedly the reason for aggression over Ukraine with Volin's absurd claims of Serbia's possible aggression over Kosovo”, Mehaj wrote on Facebook.
He said that this is also a powerful confirmation of the reason why Kosovo should soon join NATO, as according to him, the extension of Russia and Putin is eager to realise the similar scenario on our country.
Kosovo citizens and friends, regardless of all communities, should not fall prey to this provocative, threatening and blackmailing language, because the Republic of Kosovo is safe, clear and establishing its Euro-Atlantic orientation, as well as very firmly leading the way towards the open doors of NATO and the EU”, Mehe said.
He also invited the decision-making authorities of NATO and the EU to condemn this next-to-be construction stance of Volin, which says the official position of the Serbian government is meant.
