Kosovo government targets cyber attacks of large size

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has faced several cyber attacks recently. Insander has learned that there have been continued e-mail attacks by officials within the MPB. The MPB Media Office has confirmed this, saying that Kosovo institutions are consistently punished by cyberattacks [...]
Institute officials have accepted an email claiming to be from one of the official state institutions, bank or other company that asks to click on a (link) link to an email website. After clicking on that link, hackers can access the enamel.
MPB has said that Kosovo's “institutions are consistently punished by cyber attacks mainly type phishing” but of small size”.
The MPB says a larger-sized attack has occurred on February 26th but has not blocked information or data.
“While on the 26-02-2022 date a cyberattack of “halving” of larger size, but that even this cyberattack has not blocked or damaged information or data”, they say their response.
Cyber security designer Valon Kerroll explains about the Inseder what a Phishing attack means and how it might be accepted.
“Phisting is one of the oldest cybercrimes. The hackers pretend to be a reliable internet subject in an effort to get passwords or other personal information. For example, they send an email that claims to be from one of the official state institutions, bank or other company that asks to click on a (link) link to an email website. When you click on that connection, you will be redirected to a fake site that is completely similar to that institution's page, bank or company”, Keriolli said in a proposal for Inseder.
The Kosovo government last year had made a decision to establish capacity for protection against cyber attacks in institutions.
Kosovo's “government has adopted the decision that has obliged all public institutions in the Republic of Kosovo to co-ordinate their activities with the Information Society Agency at the Ministry of Internal Affairs (ASHI/MPB), to develop electronic systems and their integration into infrastructure and central information systems platforms in line with the legislation in force. In this case, A must The USI/MPB submits for approval in Government a draft of the Electronic Governance Strategy within three (3) months, as well as Kosovo Police to increase investigative capacity for preventing cyber attacks in co-operation with local and international survey institutions”, the report said..
