Air space over Kosovo remains open to Russian planes, despite Kosovo institutions' demand for KFOR to close it.
He made it known to KosovoPress, KFOR media official Daniele Riggio, referring to a <x0st NATO official, has said that KFOR remains focused on the daily implementation of its UN mandate to ensure safe environment and freedom of movement for all communities living in Kosovo.
“Air space over Kosovo remains open. KFOR commander preserves primary authority for the use of airspace over Kosovo, according to UN Security Council Resolution 1244. KFOR remains fully focused on the daily implementation of its UN mandate to ensure secure environment and freedom of movement for all communities living in Kosovo”, he said, referring to the NATO official's statement.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore Donika Grovalla today indicated they have submitted calls to KFOR to close Kosovo's airspace to Russian aircraft.
