Only the Ukrainian delegation appeared at hearings before the UN tribunal in The Hague, while the Russian side decided not to participate.
Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Maria Zakharova earlier stated that Moscow representatives do not participate in the UN International Court of Justice hearings, as the “issue of a special military operation in Ukraine is outside its jurisdiction”.
In Kiev's official indictment, Russia's claim that it invaded Ukraine to prevent genocide is false, and judges are required to order official Moscow to stop the attacks.
