German Chancellor Olaf Scholz confirmed on Sunday that his government was considering setting up an anti-missile shield for the entire German territory.
The missile defence system will be based on the Israeli model.
What did Scholzi say?
“ [A missile shield] is certainly one of the things we are discussing, for good reason,” told Scholz broadcaster ARD.
We all have to prepare for the fact that we have a neighbor who is currently willing to use force to advance their interests. ”
Olaf Scholz refused to provide further details on this potential plan, adding that it was not final.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Anne Will's show
Scholz spoke of a possible missile system during an interview on the renowned “Anne Will” show.
Shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine in February, Scholz announced the creation of a special 100 billion-euro fund to strengthen the German Army.
According to the German newspaper Bild, German Chancellor discussed Wednesday the use of the fund with Bundeswehr General Inspector Eberhard Zorn and Defence Minister Christine Lambricht.
What is known about the Israelite model?
German newspaper Bildm Sonntag reported earlier that Germany was considering buying an Israeli Arrow 3. The system would cost $2 billion ($2.2 billion), according to the paper.

Rocket Arrow-3
The Arrow System is capable of destroying long-range ballistic missiles and can operate at altitudes as high as the stratosphere.
The Israeli Arrow system should not be confused with Iron Dome, which destroys short-range flying missiles. German Bundeswehr already has a Patriot system capable of catching short-range missiles. / DW/
