Forgotten residents in Pristina, without roads, lighting and bus line

Although not so far from the centre, a large neighbourhood with a number considered residents, it seems that it does not have the attention of the directors of the municipality and Pristina. It's residents on the “Malush Kosova”, who lack road, lighting but also bus lines.

Various works have damaged the road, causing traffic difficulties. They say they have made many demands in the municipality for their problems. Meanwhile, municipality representatives have also given some good news about this neighborhood.

Shaban Mikeofci, a resident of this neighborhood, said that the unforgiving road and lack of enlightenment is causing problems.

It's actually causing a little trouble, but the municipality is aware that central heating pipes have been introduced here, but they've come too late, so the time promised for order... The information when you're expected to fix it, we don't have it, but the municipality is aware. Problems usually cause us, but it's the issue that are coming in too late for heating, and for them it's left thus”, Majoffci said.

He also said that enlightenment is an obstacle.

Mikeofci: Lighting Is the Harm

“Displacement is an obstacle, but it is lighting up the locals here, that it is an obstacle. For enlightenment, I don't know whether they know or do not have municipalities”, he said.

Arlinda Zenelaj, also resident of this neighbourhood, believes the municipality is still not taking any action.

Zenelaj: The municipality is taking nothing.

I believe they're aware, but they're not taking anything. It's a big obstacle for us, we're having kids or something, when it's really cold time. We're getting very much in the way, and communication is very dense and lighting is very difficult”, Zenelaj said.

Mehdi Makoli said they have trouble with bus lines.

Malcolm: We have trouble with bus lines.

I believe that the municipality, up to half the way, has light, it gets released, sometimes it has time and again. This is what they've been doing here for a while, but when it's worth the work that's important, it's worth taking off a little bit, but they left me half way, for cars for feet, everything... We've got trouble with the bus, we have no connections here. Bus connections we s'kemi, we're like the isolated neighborhood... in Pristina it's been going an hour in the absence of busline every day... 100 times they have got requests, came up sometimes there's a bus, sometimes 6.7, they've tried, there's sãoka, they're going out there and there's got to be a problem, he said.

Regarding the problems in this neighbourhood, Kosova Prees has received some answers from directors in the Pristina municipality.

As for lighting on this road, Basskim Sadiku, senior energy official in the municipality, during a written message, told Kosova Preress that it will be realised on the basis of budgetary opportunities.

The “Ju announces that the road, which has no enlightenment, will be realised on the basis of budgetary opportunities with ongoing projects. The same is on the list”, Sadiku said

Krenar Xhaferi, director of Capital Investments, said that the contract is under way and that the company has been selected for road regulation.

We actually get the requirements for road damage every day, as well as the “Mallush Kosova” road. For the “Mallush Kosova”, we are in the process of developing the contract, I believe next week start working on that road. All the pits and all the way from the beginning will be treated. Normally parts that have been damaged and will be treated the entire “Malush Kosova”, the company has been selected and I believe next week only start the work, with the start of the work area in Pristina”, Xhaferi stressed.

Meanwhile, Habib Qorri, leader of the public service sector, said the lines would be designed based on road infrastructure, demand and needs of citizens to offer transport service, however, has not indicated exactly whether there will be public transportation on this road.

“Following the current plan for public passenger transport lines, the line has been up to “Holgen Petersen”. And with the furniture plan, where public transportation of travelers is planned, the re-enhancing of lines on the territory of the city of Pristina is planned, where all neighborhoods are covered.
