The 11-year-old boy who left Ukraine alone on a long 960km trip towards the border with Slovakia said he is the “happy he is safe” with his brothers and sisters, writes Mirror, past Periscopi. The young man known as Hassan avoided rockets and teams [...]
The young man, known as Hassan, avoided Putin's rockets and killing teams, armed with only one bag, his passport, a plastic bag and a number of phones written in his hand.
He was named a hero after he finally arrived at his destination and in the safe neighborhood in Slovakia, with employees helping him contact his family before the exciting reunion.
His mother, Julia Pisecka, made the heartbreaking decision to stay in Zaporizhja to look after her still mother and let the brave Hassan leave alone.
This morning, his sister translated his words during an interview at the Food Morning Britain via a video link.
She said, “He says the most important thing is to be where his family is. He likes the city because he's safe. He doesn't know about the future because he doesn't know about the situation in Ukraine. He's not thinking about the future, he just wants to be with us”
The student was named the nightʹhero by the Slovak authorities when he entered the border and when they helped him call his brothers and sisters.
