Democratic Party of Kosovo Vice-President Vlora Citaku, also former ambassador to Kosovo in the US, has said the country's NATO membership is <x0); existing”.
Chitaku made this statement in a tweet on the official account at Twitter. She has added that the first job that must be done is membership in the Partnership for Peace, a programme within NATO.
Kosovo wants to join # NATO, not because we want to be a member of a club VIP. This isn't about prestige. Membership in it is existential”, Citaku wrote.
“Kosovo must be a reliable partner and the West must keep the word”, the PDK deputy chairman has said further.
Partnership for Peace is the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation programme aimed at building confidence between NATO and other states in Europe. In this program, they are members of 20 countries.
Kosovo? Wants to join #NATO, not because we want to be a member of some ♪ VIP club. This is not about hope. It is existential.
Kosovo must be a real partner, and the first must keep its end of the bargaining.
