British Intelligence: Russia has suffered thousands of casualties during Ukraine's invasion

Russian forces have suffered major losses in the war in Ukraine, according to British intelligence, the British Defence Ministry said today.

Russian forces almost certainly suffered thousands of casualties during the invasion of Ukraine. Russia is likely to mobilise militias and recruits, as well as private and foreign mercenaries, to compensate for significant losses”, the ministry writes in a Twitter post.

It is unclear what impact the group will have on the effectiveness of the war, the ministry said.
