Blinken: Washington open to diplomacy over Ukraine; difficult to happen without drop tensions

In a comment to the Russian people, Mr. Blinken also said that the United States knew that many Russians did not want to deal with President Putin's decision to attack Ukraine.
Blinken said there are currently more than 174,000 Ukrainian refugees seeking safe housing in nearby countries.
Blinken said the United States is working to support the countries on the front line, among them Poland, Moldova, Romania and Slovakia.
Earlier, the State Department announced that Mr. Blinken is expected to visit Brussels, Moldova and Baltic countries this week to hold discussions with NATO allies and European partners on Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Blinken will visit Belgium, Poland, Moldova, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia from March 3rd to March 8th. / VOA/
