Beden told Zelensky that the US would provide Ukraine $500m “direct budgetary assistance”, the White House says.
America's president, Joe Biden, has spoken with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, where he has announced that the US will provide Ukraine 500 million direct budgetary assistance.
So has the White House, through a media communiqué reportedly that the conversation lasted for about an hour.
This money, according to an official from the White House, is destined to help pay salaries, among other things.
“The leaders discussed how the United States is working all the time to meet key security assistance requirements in Ukraine, the critical effects that those weapons have had in conflict, and the continued efforts of the United States with allies and partners to identify additional capabilities to help the Ukrainian Army protect its”, CNN writes.
On the other hand, according to the White House, Biden has revised additional sanctions and humanitarian aid, which was imposed last week.
Biden also indicated that the United States of America will continue to carry sanctions that have been imposed against Russia and that it will provide the Ukrainian Army with the capacity to defend itself.
While earlier, Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, said that with Beden they spoke about the situation on the battlefield and at the negotiating table.
“We talked about specific defence support, a new package of expanded sanctions, macro-financial and humanitarian assistance”, said Zelensky, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
