MPs currently attending meetings at PD headquarters are Enkejeld Alibeaj, Gazment Bardi, Jorida Tabaku, Arby Agalliu, Ina Joupa, Erda Tase, Ilda Dhari, Lindita Metalaj, Gift Cupi, Zreni Gjergji, Kreshnik Kollaku, Saimir Correshi, Greshireshi, Greta Bardeli, Dada, Selaud Jaauplari, Kastriot Piroli.
The meeting is being conducted by parliamentary group chairman Enkeleed Alibeaj, who read a draft declaration of the DP group's position on the situation:
- The DP's parliamentary group praises the act of resigning the DP's acting president to solve the problem, which has caused a deep division from the centre to the base.
- The parliamentary group calls on suspended members of the DP group to provide the same mechanism for Mr Berisha's withdrawal, which must be distanced from the decision-making in the DP, becoming part of the solution to avoid division and enable the unification of Democrats. We demand respect for the DP's values and statute principles for avoiding the publicly stated consequences of the US.
- The parliamentary group expresses readiness to negotiate with suspended members of the parliamentary group to find an acceptable solution that brings an immediate break to end the rift and pave the way for the union. The group charges the structures responsible to seek an mediation group to facilitate communication with a long-term and acceptable solution.
4. The parliamentary group estimates that after implementing agreement on the above points, it opens the way for finding a consensus mechanism in consultation with other party institutions with key function.
A-Doning an awareness campaign based on the goal of uniting Democrats;
B-Preparing the party for local elections and re-organising the party at the base. (So choice on base and campaign);
C-Preparing the necessary conditions for organising elections at all governing structures in the centre shortly after local elections.
