Turkey-made Drons are being used to carry out attacks on Kremlin forces in Ukraine with lethal effectiveness, military experts have said.
Skyless Bayraktar Air Tools TB2 has carried out successful attacks against targets.
The drone expert, David Hambling, from London, said that while the drones were a <x0-marker” and should have been easy to disable or crash, this wasn't happening.
He told Sky News that “is quite surprising to see all these Bayraktar videos apparently take down Russian ground-air missile batteries, which are exactly the kind of system that is equipped to bring down those”.
There's a 110 horsepower engine. It's not secret. It's not supersonic. It's a mud dove a real easy target,” he said.
At a conference in parliament on March 9th, British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace also said the drones were <x0->tere important” in the slowdown of advanced troops from Russia.
Turkey began selling TB2 drones in Ukraine in 2019, but officials have refused to disclose sales details, including how many are involved and whether Kiev is refueling.
At below $2m each according to estimates, the drones were produced by the Baykar defence company.
