The academy through a Twitter post said it does not accept violence.
“Academia does not accept violence of any kind. Tonight we have the pleasure of celebrating our 94th Oscar Award winners, who deserve this moment of recognition by their peers and film lovers worldwide”, wrote the Academy on Twitter.
We remember that the incident between Smith and Rock occurred when the last guy joked about Smith's wife's shaved hair.
The Academy does not pass violence of any form.
