Abramovich part of Ukraine-Russia talks in Istanbul

The owner of Chelsea, Roman Abramovich, has been seen participating in peace talks between Ukraine and Russia today, reports Sky News, broadcast Periscopi.

The billionaire, who is one of the Russian oligarchs sanctioned by the West for the invasion of Ukraine from Moscow, was seen with delegations from the two countries in Istanbul this morning, three sources said.

The Kremlin has stressed that Abramovich played an early role in the peace talks, but the process was now in the hands of the two sides' negotiating teams.

This comes after sources quoted in W report SJ claimed Abramovich and Ukrainian negotiators suffered a poisoning earlier this month. / P ERISCOPI/
