As Montenegro's government reports, Abazovic has agreed that the current situation there is cruise for the Western Balkans to show commitment in protecting the values of civilisation and to stay until the end with EU and NATO allies.
“Montenegro is willing to expand sanctions with the aim of fully following EU foreign policy. We will monitor the situation with Russian oligarchs and take all measures in accordance with the law if they come to Montenegro”, Abazovic said.
On the other hand, he has said that with the aim of preserving security they are fighting mountain activities, which earlier resulted in the expulsion of a Russian diplomat from Montenegro.
He has further stated that Montenegro strives to be an example of stability and a clear European and Euro-Atlantic policy in the Western Balkans, promoting ideas of peace, dialogue and co-existence. For the moment, Abazovic stressed, countries that truly inherit the values of peace, democracy and the European way of life are recognised.
Abazovic has added that if the new government is established at the helm with him, the new power will make decisions that will provide support to allies to suppress even stronger Russian aggression.
US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar thanked Montenegro for its partnership and said it could count on all US aid.
