Point: 48 arrested policemen appear before Court

The 48 police officers arrested Monday have been sent to the tribunal.

In security measures, those arrested this morning were sent to the Court by Kosovo Police Inspectorate teams (IPK).

48 policemen and two customs officers who were arrested on Monday at the “Qrushe” border points and “Marine” allegedly involved in over 400 criminal activities of the “bribery and misuse of the official task”.

Investigations against them, as reported at the extraordinary media conference, were launched a year earlier against 68 people.

Yesterday's event, State Chief Prosecutor Alexander Lumezi called great success of law enforcement institutions, adding that the fight against crime and corruption is in the country's agenda.
