Turkish police have failed to trust their eyes as they weighed the amount of gold Albanian Fatime Reci carried with her when it was banned two days ago at Istanbul airport.

She was caught with two gold lingotas weighing a total of 3,1 kg, a large number of gold bracelets, and 17 expensive watches.

They doubted the woman's sight because the bag she hung on her belly weighed heavily.

After being stopped and asked to open the bags, the police blocked all the amount of gold and expensive watches.

All that Fatime Rechi carried in her bag is worth a total of 5 million Turkish lira or about $370 thousand.
