Tahiri stressed that the Rambouilles Conference has halted the Serbian genocide in Kosovo.
“23 years from the Rambouillet Conference. This conference drew historical results: brought peace and freedom and independence, stopped the Serbian genocide of Kosovo and the Albanian people in 1999. Thanks to the American and NATO intervention against Serbia, which became possible and thanks to our decision as the Republic Delegation to accept the Rambouillet Agreement”, Tahiri wrote in a post in “Facebooj”
She also spoke of those who opposed this conference. According to Tahiri, if they were heard, Serbia would not be bombed and the war would continue in Kosovo.
I can clearly remember that there have been rumours that have been against the Rambouillet Agreement, if we heard such voices, Serbia would remain unfinished and war and tragedy would continue in Kosovo. Making righteous decisions at the right time changes the history of a nation, the decision we made in Rambouille made us a free nation, after centuries of oppression... Every time I'm proud to be part of these big international events where we determined the fate of our nation a brave, courageous, self-responsive nation without asking for the price of freedom, not a moment for 11x1>, she wrote.
