Power extension is expected to have <x0-fatal effect”: Many companies' bankruptcy warned

The business community is strongly opposing any idea that it will carry the burden of costing electricity. Kosovo's Economic Oda opposes the Ministry of Finance's proposal, saying that expensive will have irreparable consequences. OEK has sent no comment to the Energy Regulatory Office ( ZRE) for the new power tariff structure, but Rukiqi warns that if the ZRE makes the decision to expensive electricity for businesses, it would greatly prolong their activity.
Rukiqi stated that in no way would they accept expensive electricity, as such, according to him, would lead many businesses to bankruptcy.
No, absolutely and we will strongly object if there is an increase in the electricity price for businesses. Much of the business will have no way out other than closing if the tariff bloc growth occurs. We've been fighting hard to get the bill off business, when it's gone, because it's been harmful to business competition. And creating a business tariff block is a decision that many businesses would lead to closure. But, fortunately with ZRE's proposal, it's not a priority to raise the fee for business”, he points out.
Rukiqi, in an interview for Kosova Prees, has shown the reasons why they have not submitted proposals to ZRE for the new tariff structure for electricity.
He also spoke of the consequences private sector workers may have if electricity tariffs are raised for businesses.
“We haven't sent (proposs) because the ZRE proposal didn't anticipate that. We sent them if they had. So it's not that he's been touching us, and in this case the ZRE proposal hasn't made us interested because he hasn't proposed any implications for business. NGOs and ministries are right. But neither the Finance Ministry's proposal nor the proposal has seemed reasonable I UEPs to have price increases for businesses. The effects on businesses must be measured. If a business is closed, private sector workers lose their jobs, and they cannot pay (ergies), cheap or expensive. That's the imidia effect, I say it with full conviction because the operating margins in businesses have increased other costs. And there have been constant effects of pandemic, if we had added to businesses and increased electricity prices, it would have been of irreparable consequences where many of them would have forced us to cut off business activity that has happened to us in the case of éFeronicilililite”, he says.
Finance, Labour and Transfers Minister Iron Murati had proposed that the burden of expensive electricity be carried to businesses as well.
Among other things, the head of the Kosovo Economic Ode, Rukiqi, said that the year 2022 would be difficult in an economic way, while stressing that economic recovery is being affected by two factors.
“Now recovery is being affected by two factors. The first factor is price hikes and not supply chain stability, and the second factor is unpredictable. There are constantly measures like these on which we considered them to be drastic with the police watch, with the limits of schedules and the movement of workers... I continue to insist that it won't be an easy year (2022) since more unpredictable has ended in 2021... Disorders in global markets, geopolitical elements, a conflict in Europe's suburbs did not make it easy for anyone. There will be effects on the global economy, and inflation that has crossed the expected borders at the global level will certainly make it harder for us this year. Therefore, domestic institutions, the government and parliament make decisions with a focus on preserving the private sector”, he says.
