Opposition parties say the Kosovo side with its ideas will not produce final agreements, nor mutual recognition, reports Online Economy.
The PDK, LDK and AAK, say the government chief has installed a harmful practice and has not been transparent in relation to the assembly, even for meetings that have been held.
Former Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has told the Online Economy that the government is unprepared in this process as well and has zero transparency in terms of dialogue.
“During the mandate of this government I think we've had a lack of clarity as far as access to dialogue. I understand that the dynamics of the dialogue process are not determined only by the Kosovo side, but also by our international partner. What is required by Kosovo is to always appear at the table of dialogue with a clear concept of what is being dialogueed. I believe that in the last two years in Kosovo a consensus has been built on dialogue that dialogue is being conducted only for final agreements on mutual recognition and normalisation of relations and a list of principles that must be maintained by this process”, Hoti has said.
Hoti says that in dialogue, territorial integrity is not being discussed, nor constitutional order, as he says these have been priorities during his rule.
For these, he even says he had international support.
There is no question about territorial integrity either of the country's constitutional order, and these principles in my government have also had the support of our international friends. During this government I have the impression that the process of dialogue has come out of the tracks with some ideas proposed by the Kosovo side that are not pragmatic and do not lead to the final agreement and is not being discussed at all and there is zero transparency. Even in this area they are totally unprepared”, Hoti said.
While the MP The PDK, Abelard Tahiri, says Prime Minister Kurti has installed a harmful practice and has not been transparent in relation to the assembly, even for the meetings it has held. He says the role of the assembly in dialogue is zero. “In the past the assembly has been informed by the prime minister of the rounds of talks that have occurred. Prime Minister Kurti has installed a harmful co-operation practice and has not been transparent in relation to the assembly even for the meetings he has held. We have sought to report to the assembly on any meeting to be held in Brussels.
Even those reports have been made at the request of opposition deputies, rather than at his initiative to impose a resolution. Therefore, the role of the assembly in the dialogue is zero.”, Tahiri said. And AAK MP chief Besnik Tahiri argued that as a parliamentary group, they will oversee the government so that no mistakes can be made and, according to him, can cost Kosovo. “We monitor the government. The constitution stipulates that the government has its role. We as a parliamentary group will oversee not to allow any mistakes that cost Kosovo”, Tahiri said.
