The jury of a court in Virginia ruled in favour of actor Johnny Depp in his slander indictment against former wife, actress Amber Heard in June, who had claimed that the actor had abused him, money and during their [...] marriage.

Against Johnny Depp, we jury-appointed damages to $2 million and no punitive punishment” was the jury's decision read by a judge in Fairfax, Virginia.
Although the process was praised as triumph for the actor Depp, the ruling shows that the jury gave Mrs. Heard the right in claiming that she was the victim of slander by one of Mr. Depp's lawyers, who accused him of having damaged the couple's apartment so that the apartment would look bad to the police.
Amber Heard did not react during the trial process, but then published a statement in her account at “Titter”.
I am even more disappointed with what this decision means for other women. It's a reverse. The decision brings us back to the time when women are humiliated if they speak publicly of abuse”.
Actor Johnny Depp, who was not in court while the verdict was read, wrote that <x0jure turned” into his account in the Instagram.
The other actor, Kevin Spacey, faced charges of sexual assault on two fronts, in London and New York.
In London, serial actor “What of Cards” faces 12 counts, including sexual assault.
Spacey, twice the Oscar award winner, has been acquitted of sexually assaulting three men from 2004 to 2015, when he was artistic director at the “Old Vic” theatre in London. His trial in the United Kingdom will begin on June 6, 2023.
In the US, the jury sided with Kevin Spacey by rejecting actor Anthony Rapp's claim that he was abused when he was 14 years old, while both were relatively unknown actors in New York's theatre performances in 1986.
In November, another Oscar winner, in the category for best scenario, Paul Haggis, was punished with an additional $2.5 million in damages trial. The amount of compensation has gone to $10 million for a woman who said that she had been sexually assaulted in January 2013.
Lawyers of victim Hayigh Breest called the decision fair while Haggis insisted he was falsely charged and was financially destroyed facing the process. He has vowed to address the Court of Appeals.
In June 2022, singer R. Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison after a trial in New York where the jury found her guilty of blackmail and sexual trafficking. A second trial in Chicago ended on September 14th with his conviction for charges of producing child pornography and seducing girls for sex.
The federal jury returned guilty verdicts on six counts against R. Kelly. Three of those guilty decisions were about producing child pornography. Three others were found guilty of R Kelly's lure into sexual activities. R Kelly and his two co-independents were acquitted of the other charges they were charged with in the indictment”, said US prosecutor John Lausch.
In October, actor Ezra Miller was declared innocent of stealing alcoholic beverages from a neighbour's house, one of a host of arrests and reports of disorderly behaviour by the company's super-hero film actor “DC Comics”.
If convicted, Miller faces a maximum of 26 years in prison.

The statement was a response to a file by actress Angelina Jolie handed over to the court, saying he seized her from the head and shook her violently. The file also said that Brad Pitt had picked up one of their six kids and hit another one when they tried to protect their mother.
Former pirate Pete Jolie was involved in another legal process dealing with the ownership of a wine workshop in France that was purchased while they were married.
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Services for Children and Families of the Los Angeles District investigated the allegations, but decided not to take action against actor Pitt. / VOA
