He wrote in a Facebook post that during January-October 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, 850m euros more goods have been imported from abroad.
According to him, this is because exports for this period have increased by only 154m euros and the trade deficit has deepened and reached -3.9 billion euros.
“The deepening of the trade deficit calls into question economic growth, local production and employment in Kosovo, as is being promoted in international conferences”, it has written.
He has written that if trade is analysed with the Western Balkan countries, it is seen that imports with all these countries have dropped without exception, except with Serbia.
“Somebody can say trade is free and it defines imports and exports. I'm fine with that. But free trade has existed even in the years when those who today run trucks with goods from Serbia”, he has said.
