Ex-Sov. Kurti's minister calls non-paying an injustice, mentions the cost of electricity for northern residents

Edison Yacurti, former ministerial minister for Economy, in Kurti Government I, says that greater injustice than failure to implement the law is its selective implementation. It compares the non-execution of salaries for teachers who held the strike, with the possibility that in northern Kosovo municipalities, bills from KEDs are not listed. Economy expert mentions that only [...]

The economics expert cites that only in the past three years have split 67.7m euros to pay electricity to residents of Serb-run municipalities in the north, while paying wages to 25 thousand teachers for September.

Such an action by the Government, according to Jakurit, “is not Social Democrat”.

Such a move negatively affects the well-being of some 100,000 citizens at a time when inflation is certainly over 13% of warnings of energy problems this winter are frightening. This is not Social Democrat”.

In the end, he believes education unions should pledge to compensate for lost classes because of the strike, while the government gives their September salaries to teachers.

Yacurt's full text published in his Facebook account:

Greater injustice than failing to implement the law is its objective implementation. For example, in the north it's okay not to be forced to KEDS to either write the bills, as it is entitled to contractable, or to leave ways for statehood and, in the last three years alone, split COST 67.7m euros to pay the current there in 2020, 17.7 million in 2021, and 40 million by August 2022. While not paying over 25 thousand teachers sets the stage by interpreting a law under a way that can easily be contested by another article of the same law. Such a move negatively affects the well-being of some 100,000 citizens at a time when inflation is certainly over 13% of warnings of energy problems this winter are frightening. This isn't social.

Without resentment, the solution remains easy: The SBASK vows to compensate for lost hours, the government executes the September salaries.
