In Prague, according to reports, ever stronger pressure is expected on Serbia to impose sanctions on Moscow.

As he has added to the trilateral meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macro, the Kosovo issue will dominate.

“It's continuing the action of these two countries. They began with the appointment of special envoys to help Lajcak”, Milivojevic said. According to him, it is clear that this pair wants to take a more active stand on the issue.

“Absolutely the focus will be on this. Of course, this will be the main topic of the meeting. A Paris and Berlin effort to accelerate dialogue and upgrade it to a higher level of”, he said.

He added that November 1st is coming, again, the question of potential billboards and escalation and everything is in order.

In that sense, there is no change in Serbia's stance. Dialogue yes, to fulfill everything related to the Brussels Agreement, the Association of Serbian municipalities, peace and stability, seeking a compromise solution”, Milivojevic noted.

Speaking of imposing sanctions on Moscow, he stressed that there will be other countries at the meeting that have not imposed sanctions on Russia except Serbia, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Moldova have not imposed sanctions.

He estimated that Serbia is the target of pressure because it has a central position because the Western Balkans have a particular interest in both the EU and the Western alliance regarding the Russia-Ukrainian conflict.

Serbia has the most important place in this region, with special relations with Russia. And for that, pressure on Serbia is stronger than it is in the case of Turkey or Azerbaijan. They have a more favourable position compared to us and are free of that type of pressure”, he stressed.

As he stressed, two issues depend on Serbia-Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and there is pressure on Serbia to cross over to the western side.

He believes pressure on Serbia will now be greater because of Moscow's recent moves, in order to increase pressure on Russia to an even greater extent.
