The Guardian writes that the Ukrainian National Guard soldier fired today for still unknown reasons about security members at a military factory in Dnieper, killing five people and injuring five others, Ukrainian police reported today.
The event took place early in the morning at the “Pivdenmash” missile factory during the handover of weapons to the guards, said the report.
Police are still searching for the suspect.
The situation at the border between Ukraine and Russia has strained in recent days. Ukraine and the West claim that Russia has listed over 100,000 troops, ready to conduct an invasion on Ukrainian territory. Russia denies the accusations and accuses the West of further pushing east, posing a threat to it.
