As the presidency suggests, Vjosa Osmani has told two diplomats that Kosovo is committed to dialogue at the centre having mutual recognition.
“President Osmani stressed that the Republic of Kosovo is committed to dialogue with mutual recognition at its centre and said Kosovo has witnessed this with its active commitment and proposals made along the process. She also reiterated Kosovo's position that the agreement for mutual recognition should not affect the sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional order of Kosovo”, the Presidency communiqué said.
The “is already clear that Serbia is blocking progress in dialogue through its non-constructive approach”, the president was quoted as saying.
Osmani has also cited the fact that Serbia has not implemented a list of signed agreements. The president has stressed that she expects equal treatment of the parties in the negotiations process.
“Noting Kosovo's constructiveity, the president also made it clear that the list of agreements that have not been implemented by Serbia is long and should be addressed urgently if we want to restore confidence in the dialogue process. She said Serbia not only does not continue to implement previous agreements, but it also shows clear obstacles every time they participate in organised meetings within the dialogue in Brussels. In this direction, the president said she expects equal treatment of the parties in the process on the part of the European Union as dialogue mediator”, said in communique.
The president has also stressed once again the importance of lighting up the fate of violent missing persons as priorities in dialogue.
