Former Prime Minister Isa Mustafa has reacted after the debates in the Kosovo Assembly, where German company Bilfinger was mentioned, as well as in a recent status of Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
Mustafa explains:
German company Bilfinger has offered nothing more than 15-20 pages of PowerPoint. This is the whole truth about this firm and the noise being made for its investments in the rebuilding of Kosovo A and continuing today in the Assembly.
It is true that at my meeting, such as Prime Minister with Chancellor Merkel on June 30th 2015, the reconstruction of Kosovo A through the Bilfinger firm was also set up by important issues. I expressed full willingness to develop this project. With the Chancellor's engagement, the same day, in the evening hours, we have arranged a meeting with Bilfinger's representatives in Berlin. We have sought to concreteise their proposal, investment costs, capacity and funding resources. Belfinger's representatives pledged to inform us within 15 days, but they have never informed us even despite the continued insistence of my cabinet.
Given economic ties with Germany and German technology in generating electricity to Kosovo, we have been interested in implementing the project together with them, but the Bilfinger company has been completely uninterested. In addition, we have continued with New Kosovo.
