This decision, which has entered into force on January 22, 2022, includes new measures on the entry and exits of citizens in and from Kosovo, imposing the certificate of three doses of vaccine against Kosovo. COVID-19 or two dose vaccine certificate against COVID-19 along with RT test- Negative PCR no sooner than 48 hours before departure. Also set is the schedule for allowing all gastronomial activity in Kosovo until 9:00.
“The measures set aside for the entry and exits of citizens in Kosovo evidently make it difficult for freedom of movement, as a large portion of citizens cannot get the third dosage because it has not been enough from the second dose (6 months) and the conduct of the RT test- The PCR charges all citizens with an additional financial cost, especially those with frequent inflows with the Republic of Kosovo”, said the communique.
The Over Albanian Economic Forum considers that the measures for limiting hours to allow gastronomial activity until 9:00 are even heavier in this sector and affecting sales reduction by seriously affecting businesses in the sector.
“Referenced to the World Trade Organization, which stipulates that, recovery will be faster, if countries keep open markets open, set up barriers and act together, the concrete fact where major countries of Europe like England, France, Spain is already facilitating restrictive measures in their countries, as well as the recent recommendation of the World Health Organization that clearly states that international travel bans should be relieved or completely removed, this decision of the Government of Kosovo, at this time, does little more than hinder freedom of free movement and trade<1x>, states the communique.
