United States of America appointed Gabriel Escobar instead of Matthew Palmer, as a US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans.
This is considered the continued commitment of the United States of America, in relation to Kosovo's dialogue on normalising relations with Serbia.
That's what Klankosova.tv is saying, and Bekim Colak, who is seeing it as evidence of US engagement in the crucial role in the talks.
The US's” foreign policy in support of Kosovo is consistent and irreplaceable”.
” A testimony to this commitment is the crucial role of the US in supporting the dialogue for normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia. Since the beginning of this process, the United States has supported this process through the direct involvement of Emisaries or senior officials appointed by the US president or State Department”.
The appointment of the new US envoy to the Western Balkans, Mr. Gabriel Escobar”
So the U.S. has been, and remains committed to reaching the final agreement, which must end with mutual recognition”.
However, he estimates it is the Government of Kosovo, which is being unprepared for dialogue and final agreement, Klonkosova reports.tv.
”Well, the question that needs to be posed is whether the Government of Kosovo is willing to be responsible and serious for reaching the final agreement?
” Unfortunately, so far we have not seen government readiness to reach agreement”.
” As a result of this inconsistent approach to the government, Kosovo has largely lost the sympathy and support it has consistently had from the international factor”.
The” therefore is active for Kosovo to start behaving responsibly to this process and our international partners”.
By September 6th, Gabriel Escobar, who acts as US deputy ambassador to Belgrade, will take Matheu's place. Palmer as a special American envoy for the Western Balkans.
