From today, new austerity measures have entered into force due to the situation in Kosovo, which will last until 13 September.
Tens of Albanian citizens have returned from the Kosovo side, as they had no test and no vaccine certificate, while in Morina there is an influx of Kosovars' entry to Albania without evidence of any document.
Under new measures all independent persons who will enter Kosovo, even through border crossings with Albania regardless of citizenship, must offer evidence of inoculation or PCR and antigen tests or otherwise should be isolated for seven days. However, the test will not be necessary if the citizen has evidence of total vaccine or of taking a dose of the vaccine against COVID-19.
The same measures apply to the citizens of Albania, who want to join Kosovo. Authorities in Kosovo reported Sunday the most tragic balance, 36 victims from the Coronavirus. This is the highest number of victims since the beginning of the pandemic in March of last year.
The Kosovo Health Ministry said 19 victims were women, while 17 men, ranging from 20 to 80. The Kosovo government decided to restore the police hour as the opening of schools scheduled on September 1st was postponed by two weeks. / A2 CNN
