Kiss punishment: The law on which the police relied strongly condemns sexual acts and harsh intimate parts

An exile has been sentenced by Kosovo Police to 450 euros in prison after kissing in public with his girlfriend. It is reported that his girlfriend has been sentenced to the same amount. But what Article 6 of the Law says about order and public calm. This action that was interpreted as influenced [...]

This act, interpreted as influenced by religious values, has been based on Article 6 of the Law on Public Order and Peace.

This law envisions sentences of up to 50 days in prison or with fines of a hundred [100] to seven hundred [700] euros, Periscope submits.

Article 6 is called "unseemly sexual behavior” and it describes “whoever commits any sexual act in the public country, or exposes any intimate parts of the body or engages in improper sexual behavior that causes concern among citizens”.

You can't believe that kiss is classified as <x0sexual”, “improper sexual behaviour” or “exposation of any intimate”.

Periscop's been trying to contact the police during the day to get more information on the case.

Article 6

Unpretentious Sexual Conduct

  1. Anyone who engages in a sexual act or exposes an intimate part of the body or engages in immoral sexual behavior that causes concern among citizens is condemned for wrongdoing.
  2. The chief offender from paragraph 1 of this article is fined by a hundred (100) to seven hundred (700) Euro or prison sentences of up to 50 (50) days.
