The 100-day government work session is being held in the Kosovo Assembly. PDK deputy Eliza Hoxha has spoken in statements outside the agenda, saying the Kosovo government has not given the promised support to women in the country. Hoxha stressed that many women who are victims of sexual and domestic violence continue to remain forgotten by the Kurti Government, with special emphasis on women raped during the war.
Serbia seems to have lacked the government's support for them as an apology. I am very sorry for my friend Vasfien, whom the Kosovo government has left in oblivion”, Hoxha said, traces Periscopi.
MP Hoxha also cited women's successes in Kosovo in sports, art and culture, saying no one can know exactly how difficult it is for a woman to achieve successes.
“Today when we speak, Kosovo's team will come here and Kosovo's golden women will return from Tokyo to Kosovo, honoring us again. The same applies to women on the scene of film and art. But a little from here to the room and outside, they realize how hard and how hard this is just for being a woman. As such they fought for the freedom of this country, we today do not know them enough, we have forgotten your confessions, we have not given them due respect, we have simply forgotten them. Today in freedom many of Kosovo's women make their struggle for survival, being the victim of sexual violence, and the victim of domestic violence”, Hoxha said./Periscopi/
