High temperatures that dominated the country did not stop citizens in Fushe Kosovo from being vaccinated. This municipality is counted among four municipalities with mostly vaccinated at the country level. The number of vaccinated is now around 11,000. Recently, however, new cases of COVID allegedly affected weddings have also increased in this municipality.
The chief head of the Family Medicine Centre in Fushe Kosovo, Mustafe Gashi, in an interview for KosovoPress indicates that over June and July, over 10,000 citizens have been vaccinated.
April 7th since the vaccine process began and so far has been vaccinated at some 11,000 citizens, it is noteworthy that the number of citizens who are being vaccinated is on the rise, during June we have had about 35,000 vaccinated citizens, and over July this number has doubled for 70,000 vaccinated within the month”, he says.
Gashi shows they are conducting rappid tests and that the number of people who result positive with COVID is increasing.
According to him, new cases of coronary infection may be of Delta variant, since there has been numerous parties during the summer and arrival of exiles.
“We continue to do the rapidal tests of virus detection... doubt that because of a period of relative calm and very few cases of COVID infection, doubts are that these new forms are due to contact with the reputation of the COVID Delta. They're expected to confirm the lab cases from the Institute, but the suspicions are that the Delta virus has arrived because of visits by diaspora and contacts, numerous gatherings such as these weddings, different parties, family visits, widespread access has been enormous,” he adds
According to the latest data, there are currently 28 active cases in Fusha Kosovo with COVID-19.
