For the first time, he came in 1999 and served five years as a Swiss state attaché, helping return refugees.
But in 2008 he decided to live in the town of Gracanica, where he also opened a business in order to bring as many tourists as possible.
Andreas shows that his arrival to Kosovo had been received with surprise by the family. However, he views workers as a second family, belonging to three nationalities.
In addition to Andreas, 2322 foreign nationals live in Kosovo, of them 2191 with temporary permission to stay and 131 with permanent permission.
During the January-June period of this year alone, 166 people have gained Kosovo citizenship. /tch
