Jeff Bezos has decided to retire as the Amazon's Ceo at the age of 57, he will carry with him about $197 billion -- a staggering asset that is 739,489 times the average value of an American at age 65.
This average net value is $226,400, Business Institute reported, citing data from the Federal Reserve.
Amazon announced in February that Bezos would give up this year and take the cloak of executive chairman of the electronic trade giant's board.
It is expected to cost more time for initiatives such as Bezos Earth Fund, its Blue Origin space shuttle company, The Washington Post and Amazon Day 1 Fund, CNBC reported.
Bezos received a salary of $8,840 and $1.6m additional compensation from the company last year, according to Business Insider.
His net wealth amounted to $75 billion during 2020, while the pandemic COVID-19 led sales to the stratosphere in his company's online market, significantly increasing shares.
Bezos, who makes more money every second than an average American worker in a week, has drawn criticism of enrichment while thousands of Amazon workers live in economic hardship.
He'll be replaced by Andy Jasper, Current Amazon Web Services CEO, company's calloud platform
