The Bytyqi family calls on the US president's administration, Joe Biden, to engage seriously in whitewashing the murder case of the Bytyqi brothers in Serbia in 1999.

“So far, we are deeply disappointed that the administration has not taken more serious steps when there could be so many”, said a communique of the Bytyqi family.

Agron, Mehmet and Yll Bytyqi, American nationals of origin from Kosovo, were arrested in 1999 in Serbia because of, as Serbian officials have said, illegal border crossing.

They were released from prison after being convicted and then killed. Their troops were found in a mass grave near Petrovo Selos in eastern Serbia in 2001.

“We call on President Beden's administration to start a serious commitment to this issue before it is too late. President Biden gave a promise to our brothers, our family, and our community. We hope his administration will soon fulfil that pledge”, the Bytyqi family statement said.

It emphasises that Serbia's President, Aleksandar Vuciq and the Government of Serbia, have consistently shown that they are an unreliable actor in this case “por, State Department officials refuse to accept this fact”.

The Serbian Interior Ministry terror base in Petrovo Selo, that world was under the command of Goran Radosavlevki-Guri.

Days ago, Serbia awarded a medal of recognition to former Serbian Gendarmerie Commander Goran Radosavlevq-Guri.

Radosavlevic is on the US list of sanctions after allegedly involved in killing the Bytyqi brothers.

The American Embassy in Serbia has said on July 3rd that Radosavlevlevq “must face justice and should not take medals”.

On July 7th, the War Crimes Prosecutor in Serbia has said he is collecting new evidence in order to define the identity of” authors of the Bytyqi brothers' murder in 1999.
