American actor Bill Cosby, who was sentenced in 2018 on rape charges, was released, the US Department of Correcting said.
He was released after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court decided to annul the earlier ruling.
The court ruled that Cosby should not be charged after he reached an agreement with the former prosecutor 15 years ago, under which there should be no trial against him.
Cosby is best known for his role in the feature comedy from the eighty-sixth “Cosby Shoe”, due to which he was named “Diddy of America”.
