On suspicion of gun trafficking and escape from the detention site, Fjolla Morina has been assigned the 40-day detention measure by the Foundation Court in Pristina, the Randa Crime Department.
The detention measure will be calculated from the moment Morina was arrested on July 17th, 2021.
Pre-procedure judge Agim Kuci has taken this decision on Wednesday in the presence of prosecutor Yavorka Prilincevic, defendant Fjolla Morina with her defenders, lawyer Fehmije Gashi-Bytyqi and lawyer Fanol Krasniqi as chief defender, reports “Battle for Justice”.
Fjolla is declared international in search of Interpol, as charges of arms trafficking and ammunition in Albania weigh upon her.
Morina was declared on the run on April 21, 2021, a month after the Kukes court sentenced her to 6 years in prison for “trafficking of weapons and ammunition”.
Fjolla Morina's arrest took place in September last year at the Morina border crossing point, where a firegun “Zoraki” was found in 23 rounds.
She was justified in the face of a crime officer for changing her purses often and for not knowing what was inside her.
Morina was also arrested by noble businessman Syla, with whom the singer was married during the time she was being sought by INTERPOL.
