This conversation has come just at the time Dendias is expected to visit Kosovo, and at the very time when the US reports of pressure to Greece to recognise Kosovo's independence.
Greece is among five EU states that do not recognise the country's independence.
Dendias wrote that “has talked about recent developments in the Western Balkans,” on Twitter after the reported telephone conversation, Periscopi conveys.
Greece has already pledged to help Kosovo liberalise visas.
US pressure on Greece is learned to have reached high levels, as even the president of Kosovo's most allied country, Joe Biden, has increased pressure on Greece's prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
“Washington requires Greece to recognise it before re-focusing dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina”, which is scheduled for 15 June.
If Greece recognises Kosovo, its example could be followed by the other four European Union states, thus making a more favourable situation formed for Kosovo.
However, the scenario in question is unlikely to happen, since Spain insists on not recognising Kosovo's independence because of the problem with Catalonia and Basks. /Periscope
